What is fruit?
A fruit is a part of a plant that can be eaten which contains seeds. This is the difference between fruits and vegetables. Fruits have seeds but vegetables do not.
What are some common fruits?

Are there different types of fruits?
Yes there are. The most common types of fruits are:
- Citrus fruits – oranges and limes;
- Tropical fruits – bananas and mangoes;
- Berries – strawberries and blueberries;
- Melons – watermelons and rock melons; and
- Stone fruit – peaches and plums.
