What is a vegetable?
A vegetable can be a plant, a root or a pod that can be eaten. Vegetables do not have seeds. That is difference between vegetables and fruit. Fruit has seeds but vegetables do not have seeds.
What are some common vegetables?

Yes there are. Here are a few common types.
- Leafy greens – lettuce and spinach
- Cruciferous vegetables – broccoli and cauliflower
- Root vegetables – potatoes and sweet potatoes
- Bulb vegetables – garlic and onions
- Stem vegetables – celery and asparagus
